This is a stunning British Banknote £1 Commemorative Coin. It is a proof and comes with its Certificate of Authenticity and would be a fantastic collector's item. It is number 03740 of only 09999 made.
It comes in a lovely green gift bag and would be a great present.
It was made by Windsor Mint in 2010 as part of a limited collection.
It’s gold plated and features the £1 Banknote which was first issued in 1960 and known as the Portrait Notes, as they were the first Bank of England notes to bear the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
On one side of the coin it has "The £1 Banknote Portrait Series C" around the edge. On the reverse it has British Banknotes.
Condition
It is in excellent condition. It is in a perspex case and comes in a plastic sleeve which holds the Certificate of Authenticity.
