Vintage Sterling Silver Fruit Knife, Pearl Handle, 1926 Hallmark

Here we have a lovely Sterling Silver Fruit Knife from the 1920s. It would be ideal for cutting slices of apple or other fruit. 

It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present for a Birthday or Anniversary.

It was made by J Rodgers and Sons and it was Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1926. The maker’s mark and Hallmarks are on one side of the blade.

The knife has a Sterling Silver blade and a Mother of Pearl handle. It has a blank shield cartouche on one side. The blade folds neatly back into the handle.

The blade is shiny with a little tarnish and some scratches as to be expected for it’s age. The Pearl handle is smooth with a crack just above the shield.

It measures 12.1cm in length when fully open (4 3/4 inches). When closed it measures 7.2cm (just over 2 3/4 inches).
