Here we have a lovely Vintage Silver Plated loose leaf Tea Strainer from the mid 20th Century. It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present for someone who loves tea.
It has R&D and EPNS stamped on it. It was made by Roberts & Dore in the 1950s.
It has two arms and a lovely shaped bowl to sieve loose tea leaves. The Silver Plate is shiny with a little wear on the handles and a very small amount of wear on the rim of the Tea Strainer.
It's slightly more raised on one side of the bowl compared to the other which makes it slightly quirky and adds to its charm, but doesn't affect its use.
It measures 13.4cm from the end of one handle to the end of the other (5 1/4 inches). The diameter is approx 7cm (2 3/4 inches).
