Vintage Silver Plated Sugar Tongs

Here we have lovely vintage silver plated sugar tongs, perfect for serving sugar or other small items of food such as hors d’oeuvres.

They come in a gift bag and would be a great present for a birthday, anniversary or housewarming.

The tongs or sugar nips are silver plated and have the maker’s mark and EP stamped on the inside. It was made by Gieves Ltd between the 1920s and 1940s. 

Condition

The tongs are shiny with quite a lot of scratches and a few spots of tarnish, which doesn’t affect it’s use but has been reflected in the price.

Size

The tongs are a good size, measuring 11.7cm in length (4 5/8 inches).
