This is a lovely Vintage Art Deco Princess Mirror Compact made in Japan in the 1930s. It comes in a lovely presentation bag and would be a great gift for someone who enjoys Art Deco or Japanese collectibles

The lid features a beautiful detailed sailing boat on the sea with a light yellow enamel border to two sides. The compact opens to show an area for powder and the original powder screen. The mirror is metal rather than glass and it gives a very good reflection.

There are a number of chips to the enamel and scratches to the metal base. There's also a very small amount of deterioration to the metal next to the mirror which can be seen in the photos.

It's a very unique Art Deco compact and would make a great gift.

It measures 6.8cm by just under 9cm (2.75 inches by 3.5 inches). It's depth is 0.7cm (0.25 inches).
