This is a lovely 1950s piggy bank called the Magic Pocket Savings Bank. This vintage coin holder was used to save sixpence (6d) coins in pre Decimal currency and now can be used to save 5p coins.
It comes in gift bag and would be a great gift.
The Magic Pocket Savings Bank has a brass lid with 6d on and a metal base with a slot to drop money through. The clasp works well and the lid can be easily opened by pushing in the clips at the sides.
It’s in good working condition with some marks to the metal on both the lid and the base.
It measures 5.8cm in height (2 1/4 inches) and has a width of 2.2cm (3/4 inch).
