Vintage Large Sterling Silver Fruit Knife, 1930 Hallmark

Here we have a beautiful Vintage Sterling Silver Fruit Knife from the 1930s. It comes in a gift bag and it would be a lovely present for a birthday or wedding anniversary.

It was made by William Needham and it was Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1930. The Hallmarks and makers mark are on one side of the blade.

The blade is made of Sterling Silver. The handle is Mother of Pearl and has a pretty blank shield cartouche on one side. The Mother of Pearl is beautifully smooth with no cracks or chips.

The Silver blade is shiny with light scratches and a very slightly bent tip. It folds neatly back into the handle. 

It measures 12.4cm when fully open (4 7/8 inches). When closed it measures 7.5cm (just under 3 inches).
