This is a very pretty retro milk jug or creamer from 1950s Liverpool. It’s hand painted and would be a great gift for someone who enjoys vintage style pitchers for entertaining.

The jug has textured yellow sides and ‘A present from Liverpool’ handwritten in gold paint on one side. The neck has beautiful blue and yellow Forget Me Not flowers and gold detailing all around. The handle has a flower design to one side of it.

It holds 300ml (over 1/2 pint) of liquid and would be perfect for using as a milk jug at morning coffee or afternoon tea, or using as a small water jug.

A bit of the gold detailing has faded, particularly at the front where the ‘A present from Liverpool’ is written. There is a roughness to the very centre of the base from when it was made. It is in good condition with no cracks or chips.

It measures just under 15cm in height (5 7/8 inches).
