This is a lovely Antique Glove Stretcher made at the beginning of the 20th Century. It would be ideal for using to open glove fingers or other items of clothing.

They come in a pretty gift bag and would be a great present.

Glove stretchers were made to open up the fingers of close fitting gloves before they were put on. They were quite common in the 19th Century and early 20th Century. Most glove stretchers were made of bone or wood so celluloid ones were a lot less common.

These glove stretchers have an effective spring to open up the arms. On one side it has Made in England imprinted.

They are in very good condition with just a few scratches to them. The spring works well. The arms don’t sit completely square together when closed, however it’s only a fraction off line and wouldn’t affect it’s use.

Their length is 16cm (6.3 inches).
