This is a very pretty Antique Sterling Silver Sewing Thimble from the early 1900s. It comes in a pretty gift bag and would be a great present for a sewing or haberdashery enthusiast.
It was made by Henry Griffiths and Sons and it was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1910. It’s a size 15 and it has this stamped on the size next to the hallmarks and maker’s mark.
It has a lovely dotted design all the way around the sides and top.
It’s in great condition with the silver shiny and a tiny bit of tarnish which helps to show the design.
It weighs 2.2g and has a diameter measuring 1.6cm (5/8 inch). The height is 2.2cm (just under 1 inch).
