Vintage 1963 Small Sterling Silver Box

This is a beautiful Solid Silver box from the 1960s. It’s a smaller size box and would be ideal for storing smaller items of jewellery or cufflinks.

It comes in a gift bag and would be a fantastic gift for a birthday or anniversary.

It has a lovely engineered design to the lid with a blank rectangular cartouche in the centre. The sides are shiny silver with the hallmarks and maker’s mark on one side. The lid lifts to show a pretty cedar wood lined interior.

It was made by Harman Brothers and it was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1963.

It’s in very good condition. The silver is shiny with the odd spot of tarnish. There’s the odd tiny dent, including one to the edge of the lid at the front.

It weighs 270g. It measures 11.3cm by 8.4cm (nearly 4 1/2 inches by 3 1/4 inches). The depth is 2.5cm (1 inch).
