This is a pretty 1940s Stratton Powder Compact. It comes with its original pouch and Stratton Presentation Box.
It would make a great gift for someone.
The lid features four ducks flying over reeds in a pond, set on a gold tone background. The base has the Stratton Scone spiral pattern dating it to around 1948/9.
Inside is a clear mirror with Made in England above it. It has an inner lid featuring the Stratton Compact in Hand logo. Inside the powder area is the original used powder screen.
It is in good vintage condition. The hinges and clasps work well. The mirror is clear and gives a good reflection.
There are some light scratches to the lid and a very small dint that can only be seen when the compact is held at an angle. There is a tiny chip to the paint on one of the ducks but you have to look closely to see it. There are a couple of marks on the base.
