This is a simply stunning Stratton Mirror Compact from the late 1940s. It's part of the Stratton Birds series and it would be ideal to use as a pocket make up mirror or as a powder compact.

The lid features a beautiful enamel with three ducks flying above reeds and blue water. Stratton had a number of water bird designs as part of their birds series and they have become increasingly popular collector’s items. It comes with a gift bag and would be a lovely present.

The base has a spiral ‘Stratton Scone’ pattern. Inside is a clear mirror which would be ideal to use as a make up mirror and an inner lid featuring the Stratton logo. 

Under the inner lid is the powder compartment and original used powder screen.

It's in very good condition. The enamel is intact with just some light scratches which can be seen in the photos. The gold colour on the base and inner lid have some marks and spots on. There’s a small amount of powder residue in the compact. The hinge and clasp work well.

It measures 7.7cm diameter (3 inches).
