Vintage 1940s Houbigant Art Deco Powder Compact

This is a beautiful mini compact mirror from the 1940s. It was made by Houbigant of Paris and is a very special piece of history with a very pretty Art Deco design to the lid.

It would be a perfect birthday or anniversary present for someone who enjoys fine French collectibles or would like a lovely small pocket makeup mirror. It comes in a pretty gift bag.

It has a pretty brass exterior with lovely patterns on both the lid and base. The hinge and clasp work well and the lid opens to show a mirror and powder area.

The powder area has some powder in which has been used lightly. There is a powder puff which is unused.

It's in good condition. There is a little misting to the mirror from age and the odd mark but it still provides a good reflection.

It measures 3.9cm diameter (1.5 inches). The depth is 1.1cm (just under 0.5 inches).
