Beeches Vintage
This is an absolutely beautiful Art Deco Sterling Silver box from the 1930s. It’s a smaller size box, perfect for storing small items on jewellery or cufflinks.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a fantastic present.
It is beautifully made with an engineered design all around the exterior and a very pretty rose gold handle. The hinge is enclosed within the design and works very well. It has a lovely gilded
It was made by Cohen and Charles and it was Hallmarked in London in 1935. It has the hallmarks on the inside of both the base and the lid.
To add to its lovely history it has G Laemle, 168 Fenchurch St, EC3 imprinted on the inside. They either owned the box in the 1930s or it was the name of the jewellers that originally sold it.
It’s in very good condition with some tarnish which helps to show the design and a few small scratches. There are a few marks on the inside.
It’s quite solid and weighs 168g. It measures 9.2cm by 7cm (3 5/8 inches by 2 3/4 inches). The depth is 1.8cm (approx 3/4 inch).
