This is a beautiful Dutch Silver pill box from the 1970s. It’s perfect for storing small items such as vitamins or jewellery.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a fantastic present.
It is beautifully made with an engineered design around the sides and a very pretty pattern featuring a blank shield cartouche in the centre of the lid.
The hinge and clasp both work very well. The lid lifts to show a silver interior.
It was hallmarked in Schoonhoven, Netherlands in 1973. It’s made of 0.833 Silver and the hallmarks are on the base and side of the box. The makers mark is worn but the second letter in it is z.
It’s in good condition with some patina in the design which helps to show the detailing.
It weighs 27g and measures 4.8cm by 4.8cm (1 7/8 inches by 1 7/8 inches). The height is 1.8cm (nearly 3/4 inch).
