Vintage 1929 Sterling Silver Sugar Tongs, Rat Tail Design

Here we have very pretty Vintage Silver Sugar Tongs or Nips from the 1920s, They are perfect for using to serve sugar or other small items of food. They come in a gift bag and would be a lovely present.

They were made by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co and they were Hallmarked in London in 1929. The makers mark and Hallmarks are on the inside of the tongs.

The tongs are made of Sterling Silver and have a beautiful rat tail design which was very popular in the 1920s. The Silver is shiny with a little tarnish in places.

The tongs weigh 24.7g. They measure approximately 9.5cm in length (3 3/4 inches).
