Vintage 1928 Asprey Sterling Silver Gravy Boat

This is a beautiful Asprey Vintage Solid Silver Gravy Boat from the 1920s. It would be a very special way to serve sauces, cream or gravy. It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.

It was made by well known Silversmiths Asprey of London and it was Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1928. 

The boat is a smaller size and made of shiny Sterling Silver with three legs. It has a wide pouring spout and a beautifully elegant handle. The rim has a very pretty shaped rim which adds to the beauty and elegance of the jug.

The silver is shiny with some tarnish in the legs which helps show the design. There are some faint tarnish spots inside the boat and a few on the spout. It has a tiny pinprick sized dint in the bowl and a couple of outward curved areas to the inside where two of the legs have been attached to the boat.

It weighs 94g and measures 15.6cm (6 1/8 inches) in length from the handle to the end of the pouring spout. The width is 8.8cm (3 3/8 inches) and the height is 5.5cm in the centre (2 1/8 inches).
