Here we have a lovely matching pair of Solid Sterling Silver Candlestick Holders from the 1960s. They would look great on a mantelpiece, sideboard or table.
These mid century candle holders are elegantly designed with shiny Sterling Silver sides and a tapered middle leading to a wider top that holds 2.2cm width candlesticks (nearly 1 inch).
They were made by A L Davenport Ltd and were hallmarked in Birmingham in 1960.
There are quite a few dents to the bases and some tarnish in places. The material on the bases is a bit worn. This has been reflected in the pricing.
They’re a little taller than many candlesticks, measuring 15.4cm in height (6 inches). The base diameter is 7.7cm (3 inches). They’re filled and together weigh 353g.
