Vintage 1920s Sterling Silver and Enamel Comb Back

This is a beautiful enamel and solid silver comb handle from the 1920s. It would be a great present for an anniversary or birthday.

It’s made of Sterling Silver and it has very pretty blue guilloche enamel on either side. It fits over a comb shaft and would look fantastic on a dressing table. It is sold without a comb but the measurements are included below as to what size comb would fit it.

It was made by Charles Henry Dumenil who was a very well known silversmith who specialised in vanity sets. It was hallmarked in London in 1929.

Condition

It’s in lovely condition. The enamel is all intact and the silver shiny with a tiny bit of tarnish.

Size

It measures 19.3cm in length would fit a comb 19cm in length (just under 7 1/2 inches). The width is 0.4cm (just over 1/8 inch) and the depth is 1.1cm (just over 3/8 inch).
