This is a lovely antique Sterling Silver scent bottle from the early 1900s. It would be ideal for keeping perfume or any other liquid in. It’d look fantastic on a table or dresser.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a lovely present.
It was hallmarked in London in 1916. The maker’s marks are worn but it’s most likely make by George Neal and George Neal. The hallmarks are on the side of the lid.
It’s square shaped and has glass sides and base. The screw top lid is made of Sterling Silver and features a very pretty design with a blank cartouche in the centre. The inside of the lid is made of cork.
It's in good condition. The silver is shiny with a bit of tarnish in places. The glass has three minuscule chips, with one on a corner and two on an edge, however these aren’t visible unless you examine it closely with a magnifying glass.
It measures 12.5cm in height (4 7/8 inches) and the width is 4.5cm by 4cm (1 3/4 inches by 1 1/2 inches).
