Pair of Antique 1911 Sterling Silver Candlestick Holders

Here we have a beautiful pair of antique solid silver candlestick holders. They are short (squat or dwarf) candlesticks, perfect for using on a dinner table or mantelpiece.

They were made by AJ Pepper & Co and were Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1911.

The candlesticks are beautifully designed with a lined design around base and an elegant shape to the necks. They are a perfect size, shorter so they wouldn’t over dominate a dinner table.

The silver is shiny with some tarnish, particularly around the base edges. There are a few scratches and a number of tiny dents around the base edge. 

They are filled and together they weigh 186g. They each measure 7.2cm in height (2 3/4 inches). The candle holders take candles up to 22mm width (7/8 inch) and the base diameter measures 6.6cm (2 5/8 inches).
