Pair of Silver Candlestick Holders, 1970s Hallmarks

Here we have a beautiful pair of Sterling Silver Candlestick Holders, perfect for using on a dinner table or mantelpiece.

They were made by AT Cannon and were Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1974.

The candlesticks are beautifully designed with an elegant stem. They are a perfect size, larger than many dwarf of squat candlesticks but not too big as to over dominate a dinner table. They have green material bases so they sit well on surfaces without marking.

The Silver is shiny with some tarnish, particularly inside the candle holders and around the raised parts of the design which helps to show it well.

They are filled and together they weigh 206g. They each measure 14.5cm in height (just under 5 3/4 inches). The candle holders take candles up to 20mm (just over 3/4 inch) and the base diameter measures 6cm (2 3/8 inches).
