This is a lovely Mappin & Webb Silver Plated Ladle from circa 1920s, perfect for serving sauces or condiments. It comes in a gift bag and would be a lovely present.
It was made by well known silversmiths Mappin & Webb and is made from Princes Plate. It has their name on the back of the handle, along with their logo and date letter o.
The Silver Plate is shiny with light scratches commensurate with age. The handle is the pretty rat tail design which was so popular in the 1920s. The ladle is a smaller size, perfect for sauces.
It measures 14.2cm in length (just over 5 1/2 inches).
