This is a lovely matching Silver Plated Butter Knife and Jam Spoon made by Mappin & Webb in the 1930s. They would be perfect for using at the breakfast table.
They come in a gift bag and would be a lovely present.
They are Silver Plated and have Princes Plate along with Mappin & Webb stamped on the handles. They are beautifully shaped at the bowl and blade and have rat tail handles which were very popular in the 1930s.
The Silver Plate is shiny with light scratches commensurate with age. The Silver Plate has a little wear in a couple of places on the base of the butter knife.
The spoon measures 11.9cm in length (just under 4 5/8 inches). The butter knife measures 13.2cm (just over 5 1/8 inches).
