Here we have a large collectible handpainted Aramis Toby Jug made by Royal Doulton of England.
The character Aramis is from The Three Muskateers and was part of the Royal Doulton Character range made in the 1950s. This one was made in 1955 and is stamped on the bottom, along with D 6441.
It’d be a great present for someone who enjoys the stories of the Three Muskateers, or as a lovely addition to a Toby Jug collection or as an ornament.
It’s hand painted and has beautiful detailing, particularly to Aramis’s face. It has his name engraved on the back of the jug.
Condition
Overall the toby jug is in good condition. There is a small hairline crack in the inside of the lip of the jug that can be seen in the photos. It’s on the inside and doesn’t go through to the outside of the jug and you have to look closely to see it. It’s been taken into account when pricing.
