Here we have a beautiful pair of matching short Vintage Sterling Silver Candlestick Holders from the 1960s. They’re a beautiful, unique design and would look fantastic on a mantelpiece, dinner table or windowsill.
They were made by Henry Clifford Davis and hallmarked in Birmingham in 1962. The hallmarks are on the sides of the base and inside the tops of the holders. They would be a great present for someone born in 1962.
Both candlesticks are made of shiny Sterling Silver and have a beautiful elegant shape to them. They have wide bases and are tapered in the middle leading to pretty tops. They have green felt bases to protect the surfaces they’re placed on.
They're in good condition. The silver is shiny with some scratches and the odd spot of tarnish. There’s a couple of small dents to the edge of the base on one candlestick and a few tiny dents on both.
They have filled bases and together they weigh 366g.
They are 8.2cm in height (3 1/4 inches). They have lovely wide bases, each measuring 9.5cm in diameter (3 3/4 inches).
