Beeches Vintage
This is a lovely Christopher Dresser Design Toast Rack, perfect for serving toast or using as a very stylish letter or card rack.
It's silver plated and has ten arms ready to hold four slices of toast. The handle in the middle is lovely and elegant and it has four feet it stands on. Each of the arms and feet are screwed into the base. On the base it has "Designed by Dr C Dresser" and a logo. It's a replica of one of the toast racks on display at the Met Museum in New York.
The silver plate is shiny. It has a few patches of wear to the plate, particularly around the base of the arms where they screw into the base. The four legs don't sit completely flat on the surface, one end arm sticks out a little and there are two scratches to another arm which can be seen in the photos. None of this affects it's use but has been reflected in the price.
It measures 12.7cm by 10cm (5 inches by 4 inches). The height to the top of the handle is approximately 17.5cm (6 3/4 inches).
