Here we have a beautiful Vintage Baby Sterling Silver Spoon and Fork Set from the mid 1920s. They come in their original presentation box and would be a great gift for a new baby, Christening or Baptism.
This Sterling Silver baby flatware is in very good condition. The spoon is large teaspoon sized with an oval shaped bowl and would be a very special baby or toddler feeding spoon. The fork is a smaller size and is ideal for a small child.
They were made by Joseph Gloster Ltd and they were Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1925. The hallmarks are on the back of the handles.
The Silver is shiny with light scratches and a little tarnish. The tip of the spoon has a small dent which can be seen in one of the photos.
The hinge and clasp of the box work well. There are some stains and wear to the inside and outside of the box.
The spoon and fork together weigh 40.8g. The spoon and fork each measure approximately 13cm in length (5 1/8 inches).
