This is a lovely collectible coin made to celebrate the wedding of HRH Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer in 1981. It’s uncirculated and would be a lovely gift for someone who was born in 1981 or collects Royal memorabilia.
The coin was made by the Royal Mint to celebrate the wedding. It features a portrait of Charles and Diana on one side and the Queen’s head on the reverse.
The coin is held in a turquoise plastic frame with The Royal Wedding, July 29th 1981 and Barclays Bank on it Barclays distributed the coin to many enthusiastic collectors.
The frame is held in a Perspex case which has some wear and scratches but still protects the coin well.
The case measures 6.4cm by 6.4cm (just under 2 1/2 inches) with a depth of 0.8cm (just over 1/4 inch).
