This is a very pretty small Vintage Solid Silver Pill Box featuring a beautiful polished black tourmaline gemstone on the lid. It comes in a gift bag and would be a lovely present.
The pill box or pill case was hallmarked in London in 1978 and was imported by Ari D. Norman. It has the hallmarks on the base. It has shiny silver sides and lid and a lovely black tourmaline cabochon in the centre. The lid is hinged and opens easily.
It’s in good condition. The lid opens and closes well, but the lid needs to be lined up to close it properly.
It’s a small pill box, suitable for holding one or two pills. It weighs 5.3g and measures 2.5cm by 2cm (1 inch by 3/4 inch). The depth including the gemstone is 1.4cm (just over 1/2 inch).
