Beeches Vintage
This is a lovely vintage cut throat razor from the 1930s. This open razor comes in it’s original presentation box and would be a great gift for someone who would like to use a straight razor for wet shaving.
It has a carbon steel 6/8 size blade and a round point. The end of the blade where it meets the handle has Bengall imprinted on one side and TR Cadman & Sons Ld Sheffield England on the other, dating it to being made between 1924 and 1939.
The spine has a jimping or cut design for added grip and the curved handle is made of black plastic with a wedge at the end.
Condition
It’s in good condition with the blade moving easily in and out of the handle. There are some small spots of deterioration to the spine of the blade. The blade has been sharpened fairly recently and has some scratches to the end. The box has some wear to it but is in good condition.
Size
The razor measures nearly 25.5cm in length when fully open (10 inches). It measures 16.3cm in length when the blade is folded away (6 3/8 inches). The blade measures 6/8 inch in depth.
