This is a very lovely Antique Solid Silver Arrowhead Tool or hook from the 1800s. It has an arrow shape rather than a hook at the end and is quite a unique tool that could be used for creating small holes in items, serving food or as a pointer.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a lovely present.
Both the handle and the end are made of Sterling Silver with hallmarks on the side. It was made by Francis Higgins II, with the handle hallmarked in London in 1869 and the arrow end hallmarked in 1871.
The silver is shiny with light scratches to the handle.
It weighs 37g and measures 20cm in length (7 7/8 inches).
