This is a lovely Antique Sterling Silver Fruit Knife from the early 1900s. It'd be ideal for slicing pieces of apple or pears and would be a great present for a Birthday or Anniversary. It comes in a gift bag.

It was made by Villiers and Jackson and it was Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1911.

The knife has a Sterling Silver blade and has the makers mark and Hallmarks on one side. The handle is lovely Mother of Pearl and the blade folds back into the handle, with the tip protruding slightly as many made in the early 1900s did.

The silver blade is shiny with a little tarnish and a number of scratches. There is a kink along the blade edge which can be seen in the photos and a small chip to the end of the Mother of Pearl handle. The blade is very slightly wavy but this shouldn't affect its use. All of this has been taken into account when pricing.

It measures 9.8cm when fully open (3 3/4 inches). It measures 5.9cm in length when closed (2 1/4 inches).
