Here we have a beautiful Sterling Silver Salt Spoon from the 1920s. It would be a great way to serve salt and pepper at the dinner table.

It was made by Cooper Brothers and Sons and it was hallmarked in Sheffield in 1927. The hallmarks and maker’s mark are on the back of the handle.

The spoon has a long Old English style tapered handle and a small bowl at the end. The bowl is smaller than many salt spoons and looks very elegant.

It would be a lovely present and a small gift bag can be bought separately to put it in.

Condition

The silver is shiny with a number of scratches in the bowl and one to the handle.

Size

The weight is 4g and measures 7.3cm in length (just under 2 7/8 inches).
