Beeches Vintage
This is a pretty Antique Cigarette or Cheroot Holder from the early 1900s. It comes in a gift box and would be a lovely present for someone who collects antiques or to use as a theatre prop.
It was made by Hall and Fitzgerald of Bristol who were “Merchants of Tobacco Fancy Goods”. It was made between 1904 and 1913 and features their maker’s mark and IS and GP on the gold plated rim of the holder.
The rest of the holder is made of cherry amber with the lovely golden rim at the end. It’s beautifully elegant in shape.
The rim has a bit of wear to the plate and the amber has some scratches but is otherwise shiny and in good condition. It sits in the presentation box.
It measures 6.6cm in length (nearly 2 5/8 inches). The inner diameter of the end that holds the cigarette or cheroot is 0.8cm (between 1/4 and 3/8 inches).
