This is a pretty Antique Sterling Silver Thimble from the late 1800s. It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present for someone who enjoys sewing or collecting needlework accessories.

It was made by Henry Charles Freeman and it was hallmarked in Chester in 1895. It is size 7 and it has this with the hallmarks and maker’s mark imprinted on the side.

It’s made of Sterling Silver and features a pretty square design around the sides and a lovely dot pattern at the end.

The silver is shiny with a bit of tarnish in the pattern which helps to show it well. The base of the thimble is a bit misshapen but still comfortably sits on a finger.

It weighs 5g and has a diameter measuring 1.8cm (just over 1/2 inch) at its widest point. The height is 2.5cm (nearly 1 inch).
