Here we have a beautiful antique set of six dessert knives and forks in their original presentation box. They date from the early 1900s Edwardian era and would perfect to use when entertaining.

The knives have a pretty engraved design of vines and grapes with the old English initials CH IEF as the maker’s mark and EP hidden within the leaves. The silver plated knives and forks all have pretty collars and polished bone handles. 

Condition

There is some tarnish and a couple of scratches in places to the cutlery and one fork has a little scuffing to the neck of the fork near the handle. Four of the handles have a light crack in them but they are fully secure. The wooden presentation box has a crack across the lid and is missing the key to lock it.

Size

The knives and forks measure 22.3cm in length (just over 8 3/4 inches). The box measures 29cm by 25.3cm (approximately 11 1/2 inches by 10 inches) with a depth of 5.2cm (2 inches).
