This is a very pretty antique Sterling Silver thimble from the Edwardian early 1900s. It comes in a lovely green gift bag and would be a very special present for someone who enjoys sewing and haberdashery.
It’s a size 11 thimble. It was made by James Fenton and it was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1907. The maker’s mark and hallmarks, along with 11 for the size are on the rim.
It has a very pretty flower design all the way around. It’s in very good condition with a little tarnish in the pattern and a tiny bit inside the thimble.
It weighs 7g and measures 2.3cm in height (nearly 1 inch). The diameter is 1.5cm (5/8 inch).
