Antique 1912 Sterling Silver Toast Rack

This is a pretty Antique Sterling Silver Toast Rack, perfect for serving toast at breakfast or using as a letter or card rack. It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.

It has five lovely curved arches and stands on four feet. There’s a handle at the top to carry it with.

it was made by William Hutton and Sons and was Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1912. It features the maker’s mark, Hallmarks and William Hutton’s logo on the beautifully designed base.

 The Silver is shiny with light scratches in some places and a little tarnish in the corners. On the base next to the logo a couple of initials have been scratched. The handle is slightly lopsided which adds to its charm.

It weighs 86g. It measures 8.3cm by 5.5cm (3 1/4 inches by 2 1/8 inches). The height to the top of the handle is 10cm (just under 4 inches).
