Here we have a very pretty small Antique Sterling Silver Box or Jar, perfect for storing small items or a few vitamins in.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.
It was made by Edward Hutton for William Hutton and Sons and it was hallmarked in London in 1888. The maker’s marks and hallmarks are on the base and the side of the lid.
It's made of Sterling Silver and features a beautiful design to the sides and a lovely pointed handle lid. The lid lifts off and shows a very pretty gilded interior. It has a raised round base.
The round box is in very good condition. The silver is shiny with a little bit of patina in the design which helps to show it well. There are few very tiny pinprick dents but these are barely visible.
It’s a beautiful box, weighing 22.7g. The diameter measures 5cm (2 inches). The height to the top of the handle is 4.5cm (1 3/4 inch).
