Here we have a very pretty Antique Silver Pill Box or Case, perfect for storing a couple of vitamins in.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.
It was made by Edward Souter Barnsley annd Co and it was Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1898. The maker’s marks and hallmarks are on the base and the side of the lid.
It's made of Sterling Silver and features a beautiful Repousse design to the lid. The lid lifts off and shows a very pretty gilded interior.
The round pill box is in good condition. The silver is shiny with a little bit of tarnish in the design which helps to show it well. There’s a very tiny pinprick dent to the base.
It’s a smaller size pill box, weighing 7.3g. The diameter measures 2.3cm (just under 1 inch). The depth is 1.8cm (just under 3/4 inch).
