This is a beautiful Antique Sterling Silver Spoon from the mid 1800s . It would be ideal for using to serve jam, marmalade or condiments. 

It's a bit larger than a teaspoon and comes in a gift bag. It'd be a great present.

It was made by Charles Boyton II and it was hallmarked in London in 1868, the height of the Victorian era. You can just imagine it proudly being used at the breakfast table.

The maker’s marks and hallmarks are on the back of the handle.

The spoon is made of Sterling Silver and it has a beautifully shaped shovel bowl and a Kings pattern to the handle.

The silver is shiny with a little patina in the Kings pattern handle which helps to show the detailing well. There’s a spot of tarnish in the bowl and one edge of the bowl has a very small kink to it.

It’s quite heavy, weighing 32.4g. It measures 14cm in length (just under 5 1/2 inches).
