This is a beautiful Antique Sterling Silver Teaspoon from the 1920s. It’s a smaller sized teaspoon (it holds approximately 4ml of liquid) and it would be ideal for using to serve jam, marmalade or condiments.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.
It was made by Isaac Ellis & Sons and it was Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1921. The collar was made by Yates Brothers. Both the bowl and the collar have makers marks and hallmarks on.
The bowl of the spoon is Sterling Silver and is a very pretty design, featuring a scalloped edge and lined detailing. The handle is beautifully smooth Mother of Pearl.
The silver is shiny with a little tarnish on the collar. There is a crack or deep scratch to the pearl handle on one side, but this is very secure and wouldn’t affect its use. It has been taken into account when pricing.
It measures 15.5cm in length (just over 6 inches).
