This is a very pretty Antique Sterling Silver Fruit Knife from the 1920s. It’s a lovely collector’s item and would be great for cutting pieces of pears, apples or other fruit.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.
The fruit knife has a Sterling Silver blade and a beautiful Mother of Pearl handle. The handle features lovely etched detailing of leaves and flowers.
It was made by William Needham and it was Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1922. The Hallmarks and maker’s mark are on one side of the blade.
It’s in good condition. The silver blade has some scratches from use and a very slightly rough edge to the tip, but it folds neatly back into the handle.
It’s a smaller knife, measures 9.5cm in length when fully open (just under 3 3/4 inches) and 5.9cm when closed (2 1/4 inches).
