This is a very pretty Antique Sterling Silver Jewellery Box, perfect for storing small items such as rings, earrings or pendant necklaces in. It would look beautiful on a dressing table. It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.
The box is made of Silver and has four elegant feet. The lid has a beautiful design with a shaped edge and engraved pattern featuring a blank circular cartouche in the centre.
The hinge works well and the lid lifts to show a red velvet lined base and a gilded interior to the lid.
It was made by Boots Pure Drug Company and it was Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1919. It’s in good condition with the Silver shiny with some tarnish in places. The velvet lining has a little wear to the edges.
It weighs 105g and measures 9.5cm by 6.5cm (3 3/4 inches by 2 5/8 inches). The height is 4.1cm (1 5/8 inches).
