This is a very pretty Antique Folding Fruit Knife with a Solid Silver blade. It would be ideal for cutting pieces of soft fruit such as pears or apples.

It comes in a gift bag and would be a lovely present for a birthday or anniversary.

The fruit knife has a Sterling Silver blade and a beautiful Mother of Pearl handle. The pearl has a very pretty engraved design to it featuring leaves, flowers and a butterfly with a blank shield cartouche on one side.

It was made by Charles William Fletcher and was Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1912.

Condition

The blade folds neatly back into the handle but the tip protrudes slightly. The silver is shiny with a bit of tarnish and light scratches. There’s a slight kink to the blade but this wouldn’t affect it’s use.

Size

It measures 10.5cm when the blade is fully open (4 1/8 inches), and 6.5cm when closed (just over 2 1/2 inches).
