This is a very pretty Antique Folding Fruit Knife with a Solid Silver blade. It’s a larger size fruit knife and would be ideal for cutting pieces of pears or apples.

It comes in a gift bag and would be a lovely present for a birthday or anniversary.

The fruit knife has a Sterling Silver blade and a beautiful Mother of Pearl handle. The pearl has a very pretty engraved design on both sides with a blank oval cartouche on one side.

It was made by Arthur Worral Staniforth and hallmarked in Sheffield in 1912.

Condition

The blade folds neatly back into the handle. The silver blade is slightly wavy and curved but wouldn’t affect its use. There are a few scratches and the odd spot of tarnish. There are two tiny chips to the pearl handle and a bit of staining. The back of the handle has some deterioration all the way around it.

Size

It’s a larger size fruit knife, measuring 13.5cm when the blade is fully open (just over 5 1/4 inches), and 7.8cm when closed (just over 3 inches).
