Here we have a beautiful Antique Sterling Silver and Glass Jar from the late 1800s. It’s a medium sized jar and would be ideal for storing creams or cotton wool in.

It comes in a gift bag and would be a fantastic present.

It was made by William Comyns and Sons and it was hallmarked in London in 1895. The lid is made of Sterling Silver and has a very pretty pattern on it. The sides and base are made of cut glass with a lovely design to it.

It’s in very good condition. The silver has some tarnish which helps to show the design and a very slight curve to the rim just above the hallmarks. There are a few very tiny chips to the glass within the design but these can’t be seen unless examining it closely.

It weighs 257g with the silver lid weighing 29g. The height is 7.7cm (just over 3 inches). The diameter is 8cm (3 1/8 inches).
