Beeches Vintage
Here we have a very pretty Antique Sterling Silver Sauce or Gravy Boat from the Edwardian early 1900s. It would be ideal for serving gravy, sauces or cream. It comes in a gift bag and would be a fantastic present.
It’s made of shiny Sterling Silver and has a beautifully shaped with a pretty design to the rim and an elegant curved handle. It stands on three lovely feet.
It was made by Streeters and Co and was Hallmarked in London in 1902. Edwin William Streeter ran Streeter and Co from 1895 to 1904 and had a jewellery store on New Bond St in London’s West End.
The silver is shiny with some areas of faint tarnish, particularly to the inside which can’t be seen when used and may come off over time. This can be seen in the photos and has been taken into account when pricing. There is the odd spot of tarnish to the outside and one small dent to the back.
It’s quite solid, weighing 104g. It measures 14.7cm by 8cm (5 3/4 inches by 3 1/8 inches) with a depth in the middle of 4.7cm (1 7/8 inches).
