Antique 1902 Small Sterling Silver Sugar Tongs

Here we have very pretty antique solid silver sugar tongs or sugar nips from the early 1900s. They would be perfect for using to serve sugar or other small items of food with.

They come in a green cotton gift bag and would be a lovely present.

The tongs have beautiful detailing with a lovely elegant design to each arm and pretty claw ends. They are made of shiny Sterling Silver and have the Hallmarks and maker’s marks within the design.

They were made by J & R Griffin and they were Hallmarked in Chester in 1902.

Condition

The tongs are in very good condition with the silver shiny and a little tarnish in the design which helps to show the detailing.

Size

These are smaller sized tongs, measuring 8cm in length (3 1/8 inches). They weigh 11g.
