Here we have a lovely Antique Silver Button Hook from the Edwardian era. Its a larger size button hook, perfect for fastening hard to reach buttons. Its a lovely collectors item.
It was made by Deakin and Francis and it was Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1901. The makers mark and Hallmarks are hidden within the design on the handle.
The handle is made of Sterling Silver and has a beautifully ornate design. Theres quite a bit of tarnish in the pattern which helps to show it very well. The hook is made of carbon steel.
Its in good condition with a few very tiny dints to the Silver in the handle. The steel has tarnish and deterioration which adds to the aged look.
It measures 27.5cm in length (just over 10 3/4 inches).
