Beeches Vintage
Here we have a beautiful Antique Solid Silver Bowl from the late Victorian 1800s. It would be ideal for using as a bon bon dish or sweets bowl, or as a silver nut bowl.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.
The silver decorative bowl is boat shaped with a lip at either end to use as handles. The sides are pierced and have a very pretty etched design all the way around.
It was made by Atkin Brothers and it was Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1894. The makers mark and Hallmarks are on the side of the bowl.
The Silver is shiny with a few very faded tarnish marks to the inside base. There are a number of light scratches to the inside base and base. One of the lip handles is ever so slightly more curved than the other. Overall it's in very good condition.
It weighs 66.9g.
It measures 16.2cm from one end of the handle to the end of the other (6 3/8 inches). The width is 7.2cm (just over 2 3/4 inches) and the depth at the middle is 3cm (1 1/8 inches).
