Beeches Vintage
Here we have a very beautiful pair of Antique Sterling Silver Butter Knives from the early Edwardian 1900s. They come in their original presentation box and would be a fantastic gift.
It would be a lovely way of serving butter at a dinner party.
They were made by Adie & Lovekin and were hallmarked in Birmingham in 1909. The maker’s mark and hallmarks are on the back of the blades.
The solid silver blades have very pretty etched pattern one side of the blade and on the collars. The handles are beautifully smooth Mother of Pearl with a shaped design to the ends.
They come in their original blue presentation box. The hinge and clasp works well.
The silver blades are shiny. One blade is quite wavy which can be seen in the photos. This wouldn’t affect its use. The box has a bit of wear to the outside.
Each knife measures 13.7cm in length (5 3/8 inches).
