This is a beautiful Antique Sterling Silver Salt Bowl from the Victorian 1800s. It would be ideal to use as a salt pot or as a small bowl to store rings or other items in.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.
This rare antique silver salt has a pretty fluted pattern all the way around and initials JIB in an elegant design on one side. The interior is beautifully gilded. The base has the hallmarks and a worn maker’s mark which may be Mappin and Webb. It was hallmarked in Sheffield in 1887.
It's in very good condition with the silver is shiny and a very small dent to the base.
It weighs 25g. The diameter is 5.2cm (2 inches). The depth is 3.2cm (1 1/4 inches).
