Here we have a lovely antique large Georgian solid silver mustard or condiment spoon from the early 1800s. It would be perfect to use as a salt spoon or as a condiment spoon.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.
It’s made of Sterling Silver and is fiddle design shaped which was very popular in the Georgian era. It has a lovely shaped bowl and a slightly worn bull with horns and a crown motif at the top of the handle. The maker’s mark and hallmarks are on the back of the handle.
It was made by William Eaton and it was hallmarked in London in 1835.
It’s in good condition. The silver is shiny with quite a few scratches to the bowl and the end of the bowl is very slightly rough which wouldn’t affect it’s use.
It’s a larger mustard spoon, weighing 31g. It measures 13.5cm in length (just over 5 1/4 inches).
